Seven killed in Bihar after heavy rains, NDRF pressed into service


In Bihar, several parts of the state filled with heavy rains from Friday. The heavy rains affecting rail traffic, healthcare facilities and schools. The residences of Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Road Construction Minister Nand Kishore Yadav and BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy resembled marooned islands.

More than 50 people have been killed in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar because of the heavy rains. Meanwhile, late-night showers in Delhi and parts of NCR brought down the temperature by a notch on Sunday morning.
